InterCare
Community Health Network serves six counties in west and southwest
Michigan Allegan, Berrien, Cass, Kent, Ottawa and Van Buren.
All
of our health centers are located in medically underserved areas,
several of which are also officially designated as Health Professional
Shortage Areas. Four counties in InterCare's service area rank in
the top ten of Michigan's seasonal census of agricultural workers,
with Berrien and Van Buren ranking first and second in the State.
There are approximately 425 licensed migrant camps in InterCare's
service area.
InterCare's largest health center is located in Benton Harbor, part of the largest urban community in Berrien County. InterCare's Pullman, Bangor, and Eau Claire sites are all located in rural areas, providing a key access point to medical and dental care for the residents of these geographically isolated and, typically, underserved locales.
