InterCare Community Health Network Expands Dental Services in Bangor and Pullman
InterCare Community Health Network has announced that Jason Doublestein, DDS has joined its Bangor dental practice and that Dr. Mohammad El Shareif will shift his practice to InterCare's Pullman location on a full-time basis. Both steps are part of InterCare's plan to continue to improve access to general dental care in several underserved communities in west Michigan .
Dr. Doublestein is a recent graduate of the University of Michigan's School of Dentistry and is a member of the American Dental Association. He recently completed a general dentistry residency at the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo . Dr. Doublestein will be splitting his practice between InterCare and a private office in South Haven. At InterCare, Dr. Doublestein will join Dr. Jill Van De Veire at InterCare's Bangor dental location at 308 Charles St. The Bangor office can be reach at 269/427-7968 between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 p.m.
With this expansion in Bangor, InterCare will be shifting Dr. Mohammad El-Shareif to its Pullman location at 5498 109th Street, which will mark the first time in recent years that full-time professional dental services have been available in that community. Dr. El-Shareif joined InterCare nearly a year ago and has been splitting his time between InterCare's Bangor and Pullman locations. Dr. El-Shareif is a graduate of Northwestern University Dental School in Chicago and was in private practice in Sandusky Michigan prior to relocating to West Michigan . InterCare Community Health Network is a federally designated “community and migrant health center” which provides primary medical and dental care in underserved areas. Each year, InterCare provides dental care to nearly 20,000 individuals at its four west Michigan dental practices and on its mobile dental van. InterCare is a critical access point for individuals on Medicaid and low income families who qualify for its sliding fee program.
