InterCare Welcomes Family Practice Physician
Dr. Roseline Michel has recently joined InterCare Community Health Network's medical practice at 697 Weld Street in Benton Harbor. She joins in practice Dr. Barbara Boyd, Dr. Lisa Fink, Dr. Mark O'Brien, Dr. Susan Weinstein, and Dr. Dharmesh Patel as well as John Kittredge, Certified Physicians Assistant.
Dr. Michel graduated from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine and obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from Brooklyn College in Brooklyn , New York. Prior to attending osteopathic school, Dr. Michel worked in the field of public health and was a school teacher. Dr. Michel has most recently been employed at the Community Health Center of Branch County in Coldwater, Michigan where she completed her residency in family practice medicine in 2003. She will be relocating to the Berrien Springs area with her family in the future and is awaiting certification from the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians.
InterCare is a non-profit organization that operates six primary care practices in west and southwest Michigan in keeping with its mission to expand access to health care to the underserved. The organization serves a sizeable Medicaid and uninsured population and is designated as a “community health center” by the federal Public Health Service. InterCare has been a presence in Benton Harbor since 1984. Services available there include a full range of medical and dental services as well as a special program for high risk infants on Medicaid.
InterCare participates with most major insurance companies including Community Choice Michigan and Health Plan of Michigan and offers a sliding fee program for families at or below 200% of poverty.
