InterCare Services
InterCare is dedicated to improving individual health and reducing health disparities in the communities we serve. We pursue our vision through the delivery of a broad array of primary health care services and promoting open access for all. InterCare's practice philosophy focuses on disease prevention, wellness, and regular and timely treatment of chronic conditions. We pride ourselves on excellent communications with our patients and on our strong health education focus that helps our patients and their families become actively involved in their own health care.
Medical Services
Each InterCare health center has a team of doctors, physician assistants, and/or nurse practitioners. Our medical providers specialize in family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, and pregnancy.
Dental Services
InterCare has dental services at most of its locations. A team of dentists and dental hygienists provide cleanings, exams, extractions, fillings, and dentures. InterCare also has a mobile dental van, which visits schools and community agencies.
Prenatal & Obstetrical Services
InterCare offers services
for pregnant women at its Holland and
Eau Claire locations. Our family practice
doctors at these health centers are assisted by our own women's
health practitioners and sometimes by other doctors from the community.
Maternal and Infant Health
Program (MIHP)
InterCare is certified
to provide Maternal and Infant Health Program (MIHP) to certain
pregnant women and babies with Medicaid. This program offers nursing,
social work, and nutrition visits in your home and is available
through our Benton Harbor, Eau
Claire, and Holland locations.
BCCCP - Breast and Cervical Cancer Control Program
Most of InterCare's health centers offer this free cancer testing to low-income women over the age of 40.
Outreach Program
InterCare also has an Outreach Program with health workers and nurses that visit migrant housing camps to give out health information and to follow-up on referrals made by our doctors.
Behavioral Health Program
InterCare is developing a Behavioral Health Program that combines primary medical care with brief counseling services for individuals referred by their doctor. These services are offered together during the same visit and are aimed at helping patients manage feelings and personal problems that affect their health.
