InterCare offers a generous and complete benefit package to eligible employees, including paid vacation and sick time, paid holidays, medical, dental, vision and prescription coverage, short-term disability, life insurance, 401K, tuition reimbursement, and an Employee Assistance Program.
InterCare strives to provide employees with a competitive benefits package. Each year, we work with outside experts to understand what a competitive benefit package "looks like" for the coming year - balancing benefit trends in the marketplace and analyzing the claims we experience.
InterCare also manages the benefits we offer from a cost standpoint, keeping our employees in mind. This is part of our fiscal responsibility.
PAID TIME OFF
Employees receive two weeks vacation time during the first year of employment, which begins accruing from the first day of employment. This amount increases as you earn seniority with InterCare.
Sick time also begins accruing upon hire. Eligible employees receive 6-1/2 days with pay per year for medical appointments and illness absences for you or your family members.

We offer four Priority Health plans to choose from. Health coverage is available the first of the month following 60 days of employment. All plans provide preventative services, including mammograms.
PRESCRIPTION DRUG PLAN
Prescription drug copays are as follows: $15 for generic, $50 for brand name, and $80 for non-formulary drugs. Mail-in orders are available for maintenance medications where a 90-day supply is available for two times the usual co-payment amount.
VOLUNTARY DENTAL & VISION INSURANCE
Dental coverage includes preventative, basic and major services up to $1,000 per calendar year maximum. Vision coverage covers eye exams, glasses, or contact lenses at discounted rates.
SHORT-TERM DISABILITY AND LONG-TERM DISABILITY
Short-term (STD) and long-term disability (LTD) insurance is provided at no cost to you. STD provides a portion of your regular pay (60%) after a 14-day elimination period when you miss work due to a certified disability. LTD continues to provide a portion of your regular pay if your disability lasts for 90 days.
LIFE INSURANCE & ACCIDENTAL DEATH & DISMEMBERMENT COVERAGE
InterCare provides life insurance at the amount of two times your annual salary and at lesser amounts for your spouse and dependent children. Accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) coverage is also provided by InterCare and pays up to four times your annual salary.
InterCare offers a variety of supplemental insurance plans to meet your individual needs. These programs are voluntary and you pay the cost for coverage. These include additional life insurance for you and your dependents, critical illness and accident coverage.
RETIREMENT - 401K PLAN
InterCare offers a retirement savings plan through Principal Financial to help you prepare for the future. The plan features a number of investment options to meet your particular needs. New employees may begin contributing to their accounts upon hire.
InterCare encourages employees to seek additional education which will benefit you in your employment with us. We provide up to 80% of the cost or $1,500 per year. You may be eligible for this program after one year of employment.
FLEXIBLE SPENDING PLAN
The medical spending and dependent care plans provide a pre-tax savings account for your needs. Your pre-tax dollars are set aside, and repaid to you as you need them.
EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PLAN
Our EAP offers three free, confidential counseling sessions in a wide variety of areas including: Stress and anxiety, mental health, financial, legal, and referral services for you and your family members.
